Practice FEELING Good

You already know that FEELING more connected with divine Love– not just in your intellect, but in your heart– will heal your illness, resolve your problem, or fill the void of emotional dysfunction.

So how can you get that feeling? One way is to PRACTICE it. You’re actually capable of intentionally producing feelings within yourself, just like you’re capable of intentionally producing words or ideas.

I remember during a particularly stressful period at work, I used to take a break sitting in my car in the parking lot on a sunny day and open the sun roof. Then with my face turned toward the sunlight, I’d imagine myself on my favorite beach in the Bahamas. And for a few minutes, I felt greater calm and balance.

This experience taught me that I was capable of calling up peace through my own intention, without having to wait for perfect external circumstances.

As time went on, I began to realize that I could do much better– I could call up deeper, spiritual feelings of joy, peace or unselfed love. And I could call up these feelings without needing to have them triggered by another person or a wonderful situation. I could regularly PRACTICE these feelings because divine Love was always embracing me in them and enabling me to express them.

Try it out for one day! This spiritual practice of feeling works best if you try it for just a minute or two, and then repeat it several times throughout the day.
